Putting Together a Go Bag

With all the fires in California, it has me wondering how prepared my family is for an emergency evacuation. I decided to put together a Go Bag. Here is what I put into my Go Bag

  • An extra set of keys

  • A change of clothes

  • Comfortable walking shoes

  • Some water and energy bars

  • Kibble for the dogs

  • Cash in small bills

  • A first-aid kit

  • Flashlight

  • A portable radio

  • Charging cable for my cellphone and a portable cellphone battery pack

  • A copy of your ID and any other important documents

  • Respirator face mask

  • Toiletries

Other items you might want to consider

  • Eyeglasses or contact lenses

  • Hearing aids

  • Medications

I decided to keep my Go Bag in the trunk of my car. What would you put in your Go Bag? Where would you keep it?
